For several years, more and more producers fromLatin America,Central AmericatheCaribbeanand some countries inAfricahave been converting to organic farming.

With the natural balance restored, chemicals are no longer of any use. Organic agricultureis mostly reserved forArabicacoffees, which are more qualitatively flavorful and whose growing locations are naturally more preserved. Arabicas, native toAfrica(Ethiopia), require mineral-rich soils and altitudes above 600m. Highly appreciated, this species produces very high-quality elongated fruits. The higher the altitude at which coffee is grown, the finer its aromas and the less chemicals are needed as pests are virtually nonexistent.
