The history of Delta coffees
In 1961, Rui Nabeiro decided to create his own coffee brand. A connoisseur of the coffee market and an entrepreneur by nature, he initiated the activity with only two roasting balls of 30 kg capacity each, in a small 50 square meter warehouse, in the village of Campo Maior in Alentejo (southern Portugal).
Today, there are more than 180 trades at Delta Cafés and the roastery has more than 2100 employees.
Delta Cafés is also a citizenship policy, the company has initiated a supported development project with the objective of benefiting coffee producing regions with better conditions from an environmental, social and economic point of view.
This project aims, on the one hand, to develop quality coffee production and on the other hand to guarantee a healthy, responsible and supported industry, thus promoting economic growth and improving the quality of life of traditional populations while respecting their culture.
