Origin and producer of Costa Rica Finca Alfaro whole bean coffee
Dive into the rich history of this exceptional coffee, originating from Costa Rica, in the Tarrazu region.
This coffee is the fruit of the labor of 1300 families who, south of San José, cultivate the Caturra and Catuai varieties between 1200 and 2000 meters altitude. Benefiting from a privileged location, between the Pacific coast and the Sierra de Talamanca, the cherries ripen in optimal conditions. The central valley, sheltered from humidity and bathed in sunshine, offers an ideal climate for coffee cultivation.
This coffee is produced by Beneficio Palmichal, a company founded by Manuel and Romelia Rojas, pioneers of coffee cultivation in Tarrazu, renowned for the excellence of their harvests. Their expertise was passed on to Roberto Montero Castro, an emblematic figure of coffee, who supported farmers by guiding them on technical aspects. In 1994, the Neumann Kaffee Gruppe took over Don Roberto's farm and mill, today known as Beneficio Palmichal.
