The arabica at the heart of this monsooned green coffee with woody and vegetal aromas

How about tasting a freshly prepared coffee at home ? It's now accessible with green coffee from the Karnataka region in India, produced using the monsooning process. Once roasted and ground at home, this coffee is characterized by its marked aromatic richness in the cup for an exceptional tasting experience.

Discover green coffee from the Karnataka region in India, a blend of several arabica varieties (Catuai, Cauvery and SL9), grown at an altitude of 1500 meters. These beans undergo selective hand-picking, before being subjected to monsooning treatment.

The origins of monsooned coffee stem from a particular history: shipments of Indian coffee, en route to Europe via the Cape of Good Hope, were exposed to intense humidity and the salty winds of the monsoon during the crossing. These conditions gave birth to a low-acidity coffee with woody aromas, notably of wild herbs.

Today, the coffee undergoes the same treatment. It is spread in open warehouses for 4 to 5 days, then placed in bags, stored and arranged leaving a space between them to allow the monsoon to act on the coffee. After several weeks, the coffee changes color, adopting a yellow hue, a sign of the "monsooned" process.

Each bag of green coffee includes detailed information such as density, humidity, etc.

Warning: Green coffee must absolutely be roasted before use in an automatic machine or grinder. Otherwise, your equipment may be damaged.
