Baratza designed the Sette 270 Wi grinder in partnership with Etzinger, a globally recognized manufacturer for the excellence and longevity of its burrs.
The Sette 270 Wi features 40 mm stainless steel conical burrs with an innovative design.
The system rotates the outer burr while the inner burr remains stationary. This mechanical architecture doubles grinding efficiency compared to competing models.
Beans are ground and then delivered directly into the grounds container or into your portafilter.
The Baratza Sette 270 Wi grinder dispenses between 3.5 and 5.5 grams per second, depending on roast level and grind setting. The burrs display excellent durability and maintain their sharpness over the long term.

The Sette 270 Wi coffee grinder features a minimalist control panel with backlit LED display, easy to read.
Three programmable buttons allow adjusting grinding duration to the hundredth of a second.
Each button is configured for the following ground coffee quantities: 1 = 18 g, 2 = 25 g, 3 = 35 g.
You can easily modify and save your custom dosages by following the manual guidelines.
The Sette 270 Wi offers 31 macro steps. It also allows for continuous (micro) adjustment, perfect for espresso which requires increased fineness.
The macro/micro device is directly coupled to the conical burr which adjusts instantly and precisely according to your settings.
The integrated convertible holder allows grinding directly into a portafilter, or into the included container (capacity 160 g).
The grounds container is made of antistatic ABS. It features a spout facilitating transfer to your filter.
The portafilter forks are adjustable to accommodate the dimensions of most portafilters and include a hook for added stability.
The hopper holds between 300 and 400 g of coffee beans.

 | Expert opinion : Between the modern and original design, the precision of the integrated scale, the combination of macro and micro adjustments or simply the grind uniformity, the whole package proved impressive. I tried the Sette 270 Wi grinder in pour-over methods and espresso, and it was always very easy to find the right setting, keep it, and distribute the exact dose thanks to the programming down to 0.01 gram. I liked the whole grinder, and the ability to easily memorize its setting thanks to the "Number + letter" code. Whether in manual mode or with memorized doses, uniformity was always present and a notable detail: there is only the bare minimum of retention. |
