With an ultra-precise diameter of 58.6 mm and a flat base, the Baristator tamper is designed to ensure uniform tamping of the entire grind in your portafilter. Unlike classic tampers that leave grind on the portafilter walls, causing coffee loss, the Baristator ensures complete and precise tamping. As any knowledgeable barista knows, precision is crucial for achieving a perfect espresso.
Specifically designed for 58 mm professional portafilters, it delivers optimal performance, but is not suitable for single-cup portafilters.
The unique design of the Baristator tamper, distinctly different from classic "rectangular" tampers, is not just about aesthetics, but efficiency. Thanks to its precise diameter that eliminates any grind loss, the risk of creating an air pocket is a parameter to consider.
Indeed, unlike a traditional tamper that may cause the grind to lift due to a suction effect, the Baristator allows for progressive air circulation, thus preventing any pressure imbalance. Result: optimal tamping without altering the quality of extraction.
