HOW TO USE CAFETTO BIO CLEANER?

For cleaning the group head:

• Every week, after backflushing, add a small amount of detergentCafetto Bioto remove espresso residue present in the blind basket. Dissolve it in hot water and insert the portafilter into the group head.
• Activate the brew lever then deactivate it after about 10 seconds. Repeat this operation several times.
• Empty theCafetto cleaner Biofrom the basket then perform a backflush using only water, until detergent residues are thoroughly purged from the group head.

For cleaning the shower screen and group head gasket:

• Use the rounded end of a 12 mm adjustment screw to remove the shower screen and group head.
• Unscrew the brass spreader located inside the group head using a short-blade screwdriver.
• Clean the inside of the group head using the cleaning brush specifically provided for cleaning the group head.
• Using a damp cloth, clean the area where the portafilter locks into the group head.
• Soak the metal parts that have been removed (shower screen, brass spreader) in a solution composed of 2 teaspoons ofCafetto cleaner Biofor cleaning espresso residues and hot water. Soak for 10 minutes. Rinse, wipe and replace them
• Use the portafilter to reinstall the shower screen, which is positioned above the head gasket, inside the group head. The chamfer on the gasket should be facing upward.
• When the head gasket becomes brittle or the shower screen has been perforated, they will need to be replaced. These elements are consumables.

For cleaning the portafilter:

• Remove the filter basket from the portafilter handle using a small screwdriver or the underside of the blind basket.
• Wipe the inside of the basket and portafilter using a damp cloth.
• If coffee oils have accumulated, soak the metal end of the portafilter and the basket in theCafetto cleanerBio, as explained above.
• Rinse thoroughly, dry and replace it.
