The FC-100 model fits Chemex 6 to 10 cups. Its pre-cut shape saves you the folding step before inserting into the carafe. A proper filter ensures regular flow and optimal extraction of aromas. The Chemex filter is 20 to 30% thicker than a standard filter, which highlights the bitter notes of the coffee.
The Chemex filter is made from North American pine. The trees are harvested using sustainable practices to preserve natural resources. Bleaching is done through oxygen treatment, with no use of chlorine.
Dr. Peter Schlumbohm designed the Chemex coffee maker in 1941. Featured in permanent exhibition at the MOMA in New York as well as in other museums, Chemex is a true work of art.
