The Funnex dripper in double-walled borosilicate glass from Chemex is compact and unique.
It comes with a silicone gasket for use with all types of cups, mugs and thermoses.
The Funnex is ideal for brewing great coffee at home, at the office, camping... the possibilities are endless!
This dripper works with Chemex conical filters for one to three cups.
It pairs perfectly with the Chemex mug.
- Start by heating your water. It is recommended to use a gooseneck kettle. Place the Funnex dripper and gasket on top of your cup, carafe, mug or thermos. The gasket must always be used when brewing directly on a container to allow proper air circulation.
- Fold your half-moon Chemex paper filter into a cone shape according to the instructions.
- Use freshly ground coffee beans, medium-coarse grind. Add one rounded tablespoon for every 15 cl of water you wish to use. The Funnex can brew up to 45 cl of coffee. You can adjust the amount of grind used according to your personal taste.
- Once your water has reached boiling point, remove it from heat and let it rest for about 30 seconds. Using a circular motion, pour just enough water to saturate the ground coffee, then wait approximately 30 seconds for pre-infusion.
- Slowly pour the remaining water, using a circular or back-and-forth motion to ensure even saturation. Continue pouring until you have prepared the desired amount of coffee.
- Remove the filter and discard it. Lift the Funnex and gasket from the container and set them carefully aside. Enjoy all the aromas of a Slow Coffee!
