Intelligent water filter

The CLARIS Smart + filter cartridge integrates at its base a layer of natural active components that stabilize the water in the tank and minimize limescale accumulation at the bottom. The mechanism relies on a simple upward flow of water. Its upper section precisely treats the required volume of water to prepare an ideal cup of coffee via an ion exchange process.

JURA utilizes RFID technology to establish communication between the coffee machine and the filter. Through the Intelligent Water System (I.W.S.®), the device automatically recognizes filter installation. It then switches to filtration mode and will signal when the filter needs to be replaced once its capacity is reached. The device initiates the descaling program if necessary. Once the usage period has expired, it requires descaling. It is imperative to remove the filter for this operation. No more risk of error!

Filtration capacity

The filtration capacity of a cartridge depends on water hardness, as well as its temperature. We recommend performing a water hardness test and recording it in your device to best track your cartridge's lifecycle.>

• at 11-12° dH: up to 240 l
• at 13-15° dH: up to 180 l
• at 16-20° dH: up to 120 l
• at 21-25° dH: up to 95 l
• at 26-30° dH: up to 80 l
