Maté Citron Cerise - Dammann Frères

Often assimilated to tea, maté comes from a distinct shrub. Cultivated in South America, it differs from the tea plant that grows mainly in Asia. The Maté Citron Cerise blend by Dammann Frères marries the characteristic bitterness of green maté with the liveliness of citrus and red fruits.

The classic method requires a calabash and a bombilla, a straw equipped with a filter. For this Dammann Frères recipe, the infusion can be prepared simply with a tea filter: place the maté in the filter and let it infuse in water brought to 100°C for 5 minutes.
