We like  :

• Programmable buttons
• Simplicity and compactness
• The numerous settings

Note :

• A stainless steel finish tray would have been a plus, but it's just a detail.
• The temperature adjustment is "trial and error" and over several extractions, it is difficult to notice a real change.

Expert opinion  :

Years of success for the first version of the Dedica, and here is the newcomer!

Whether in terms of look, the very successful matte paint, or compactness, this machine has all the required qualities to find a place of choice in kitchens.

But the look, as important as it is, remains secondary when we talk about coffee, and that is where we can find the small weaknesses of the Dedica. The result with ground coffee is quite disappointing for a machine that should be able to take us to Italy.

Equipped with a thermoblock, this machine heats up quickly, although its thermal stability is slightly improvable, especially during two consecutive extractions. Also note the Delonghi hybrid steam wand, which allows for very thick froths but excludes latte art.

The Dedica seduces with its versatile side, without however transporting you to Italy. ;)
