We like  :

• Programmable buttons
• Simplicity and compactness
• The numerous settings

Note :

• A stainless steel drip tray would have been a plus, but it's just a detail.
• The temperature adjustment is "trial and error" and over several extractions, it is difficult to notice a real change.

Expert opinion  :

Years of success for the first version of the Dedica, and here comes the new one!

Whether it's the look, the very successful matte paint, or the compactness, this machine has all the required qualities to earn a place of honor in kitchens.

But looks, as important as they are, remain secondary when we talk about coffee, and that's where we can find the small weaknesses of the Dedica. The result with ground coffee is quite disappointing for a machine that should be able to take us to Italy.

Equipped with a thermoblock, this machine heats up quickly but offers slightly improvable thermal stability, especially for performing two consecutive extractions. We also find the typical hybrid steam wand from Delonghi: impossible to make latte art, but we get very dense foams.

The Dedica is a satisfactory machine due to its versatile aspect, without however transporting you to Italy. ;)
