Fellow Stagg XF Dripper User Manual
The Stagg XF is used like a classic dripper, but its particular shape and double-wall stainless steel construction guarantee better heat retention and more regular extraction.
A small stand is provided to place your dripper after extraction, to keep your work surface clean.
Inside this stand are markings serving as ratio aids to prepare your coffee.
Bring 600 ml (600 g) of water to a boil in your kettle, at 91-93 °C, and take 40 g of whole bean coffee freshly ground (medium grind). The single dot on the small stand allows you to estimate 40 g of coffee.
Place the dripper on your carafe and insert the paper filter. Wet the filter with hot water.
Pour your ground coffee into the filter and shake gently to even it out.
Start pouring hot water in the center of the dripper, moving towards the edges. Pour about 80 grams of water, or 2 times the dose of coffee used.
Let it steep for 30 seconds for pre-infusion.
Continue pouring evenly from the center outwards, in circular motions. The operation should last an additional 2 min 30 to 3 min.
Stop when the coffee stops flowing. Place the dripper on the small stand to catch the last drops, then enjoy.
