1336 Scop Tiis a French tea brand whose identity proves as distinctive as the taste of its teas and infusions reveals to be delicious.
1336 corresponds to the number of days that the tug of warbetween the employees of the Fralib factory and the Anglo-Dutch multinational Unilever, the world's largest producer of ice cream and tea. Located a few kilometers from Marseille, the Gémenos factory threatened with closure saw its employees mobilize to save their jobs. Having made their voices heard all summer, then the following year, and again the year after, and at the end of 1336 days of exemplary struggle, the former Fralib employeesfinally achieved victory by buying back the factory in the form of a SCOP TI (Provençal Workers' Cooperative for Teas and Infusions) and creating the tea and infusion brand 1336.
This iconic brand offers natural or flavored teas and infusions, 100% natural. The entire production takes place in Gémenos near Marseille, to the rhythm of cicadas, by the cooperative's workers, passionate heirs of this extraordinary story.
