Meticulously hand-picked & monsooned, the "Malabar India Bio" is a precious rarity. Subjected to the characteristic humidity of monsoon winds, it acquires through this exclusive treatment an inimitable spicy fragrance, evoking the scents of pepper.
Coming from organic farming, this single-origin coffee is produced by small farmers respecting the environment and local communities, in a remote and mountainous area (1500m) of Kerala. Sheltered from rain and sun by a canopy of trees and plants, the coffee plants develop within the deep jungle, surrounded by remarkable biological diversity. This creation draws inspiration from the "Holi" festival, also known as "Festival of Colors"It is an ancient Hindu tradition celebrating the arrival of spring and fertility. Participants wear white clothes and throw colorful pigments at each other. Descended from a line of peddlers from Alsace, Marc Bloch established bLa Semeuse in 1900/b and dedicated himself to the importation and distribution of peanut oil. pIt was only a few years later that bLa Semeuse/b expanded its activity by developing bcoffee roasting/b./p pSince its beginnings, the priority of bCafés La Semeuse/b has been to ensure consistency of taste and excellence of its coffees. Analysis, tastings and development punctuate its daily routine so that the coffee develops its refined aromas and delicious taste./b./pEstablished in 1900 by a French family, La Semeuse has remained a family business ever since. Since its founding, La Semeuse has remained attached to its birthplace, La Chaux-de-Fonds, located at 1000m altitude in a high valley of the Jura, an essential location for creating the unique taste of its coffees. Initially specialized in marketing a renowned peanut oil, the founding family chose in 1920 to apply this same name to its coffee brand. Thus Cafés La Semeuse was born. Since the beginning, the priority of Cafés La Semeuse has been to ensure consistency of taste and excellence of its coffees. The brand offers unique and timeless recipes developed according to an artisanal roasting method, so that the customer finds in every cup the coffee they appreciate and know.
