Indeed, after each use of your Melitta coffee machine, limescale accumulates inside the pipes, which leads to a degradation of coffee taste, irregular flow, temperature malfunctions and potentially a machine breakdown. That is why it is an essential step.

Descaling your appliance must be carried out at least once every three months and up to six times a year (if your water hardness is high, we recommend reducing the interval between two descaling operations).
