The distribution of coffee in the portafilter is a crucial step in achieving a successful espresso. It is necessary for water to flow evenly through the entire coffee puck in order to extract all the aromas from your coffee.

Thanks to this Motta distributor, creating a homogeneous puck will be made easier. The upper disc rests on the rim of your portafilter and the lower part (helix-shaped) allows you to level and distribute the ground coffee in your portafilter. Thus your puck will be flat and composed of the same dose of coffee everywhere.
