Kusmi Tea tea bags are made of PLA (polylactic acid), a bio-based material made from the transformation of plant and renewable materials. These bags contain neither glue nor staples. The string is also made of PLA, attached to the bag through a thermal process. They are biodegradable and industrially compostable in appropriate collection streams.
