The 100% Arabica coffee from organic agriculture, contained in these soft pods, is grown at high altitude (around 1500 m) in Bolivia .

This coffee will charm you with its very fruity bouquet with a slight note of acidity linked to the volcanic terroir of its cultivation. This soft and aromatic drink will be perfect at the end of the day. These soft pods are available in bulk format at an advantageous price.

Decaffeination process

The decaffeination requires high-tech professional expertise. The green coffee beans are made porous by steam treatment.

Then to extract the caffeine, Destination opted for a solvent-free method, using water and CO2 , thanks to the only unit in Europe operating this process. CO2, a component of the air we breathe, is a powerful solvent for caffeine. It is circulated under pressure through green coffee beans immersed in water.

When the target residual caffeine level is reached, circulation is stopped, the coffee is gently dried until it regains its initial moisture level. Thus, the structure of the green and roasted beans, the flavor, the taste of the roasted coffee, the coffee infusion remain virtually intact.

There is absolutely no health risk since the coffee is put in contact with 100% pure substances: chemically inert carbon dioxide (and totally evaporated) and pure water.
