Philips designed the Baristina with a more eco-friendly approach: coffee grounds can go in your compost bin, its body is made from 50% recycled plastic and the recyclable packaging contains 0% plastic.

Energy consumption is minimal: 2.6 Wh (watt-hours) in standby mode and 122.8 Wh when the Baristina prepares a coffee.

It allows you to make an espresso or a long coffee (lungo) in less than 60 seconds: perfect for difficult mornings!

The great innovation of the Baristina is the "Swipe and let it flow" concept: engage the portafilter, select an espresso or a lungo and slide the portafilter to the right. The grinder will dispense the freshly ground coffee and the portafilter will move automatically to start the extraction.

The Philips Baristina coffee machine was designed to simplify your life.

The Baristina has no on/off mode: as long as it's plugged in, it stays in standby mode for energy saving. The machine starts automatically as soon as you select a drink. It returns to standby mode as soon as it stops preparing coffee.

With only three buttons, you can choose between an espresso, a lungo, but also get a stronger coffee with the intensity booster button.

And if you want to modify the amount of coffee in your cup, the programming is very simple. This will allow you to get an espresso between 30 and 70 ml or a long coffee between 70 and 200 ml (the maximum is perfect for a mug).

The grinder requires no adjustment, just put your coffee beans in the hopper, the Baristina will do the rest.

In addition, the Philips Baristina allows you to put ground coffee in the portafilter, a feature appreciated by those who want to occasionally enjoy a cup of decaffeinated coffee.

This Philips Baristina coffee machine comes with a removable drip tray that can accommodate larger cups.

Philips Baristina: easy maintenance

Ease of maintenance is also a major advantage of the Philips Baristina bean-to-cup espresso machine.

Its innovative portafilter features a mechanism for ejecting the coffee puck more easily. Simply rinse the portafilter under running water to clean it. Your coffee pucks can then be composted.

To purge the machine's showerhead and remove ground coffee residue, insert the empty portafilter and hold down the Intensity Booster button for three seconds. Remember to place a cup under the machine to collect the rinse water.

The Baristina coffee machine does not have a dedicated slot for a filter cartridge: only occasional descaling is required, approximately every 40 liters of coffee. Remember to use a descaler suitable for your coffee machine.
