The Baristina by Philips is an innovative espresso machine for making your coffee with ease. Its compact size allows you to install it very easily in your kitchen or on your desk.

This Philips Baristina BAR300/03 version features a refined ABS body in white color and a portafilter with a yellow handle.

It features a silent grinder (72 dB), to taste all the aromas of bean coffee freshly ground, but also to generate less waste than a capsule machine.

Philips developed the Baristina with a more eco-friendly approach: coffee grounds can be poured into your composter, its chassis is made from 50% recycled plastic and the recyclable packaging contains no plastic.

Energy consumption remains minimal: 2.6 Wh (watt-hours) in standby mode and 122.8 Wh when the Baristina is making coffee.

The major innovation of the Baristina is based on the concept "Slide and let flow" : engage the portafilter, choose an espresso or a lungo and slide the portafilter to the right. The grinder will dispense the freshly ground coffee and the portafilter will move automatically to start the extraction.

The Philips Baristina espresso machine was designed to make your daily life easier.

The Baristina does not have an on/off mode: as long as it is plugged in, it remains in standby mode for optimal energy management. The device starts automatically as soon as you select a drink. It returns to standby mode as soon as it is no longer preparing coffee.

Equipped with only three buttons, you can select between an espresso, a lungo, but also get a more intense coffee thanks to the boosted intensity button.

And if you want to adjust the amount of coffee in the cup, programming is very accessible. This allows you to obtain an espresso between 30 and 70 ml or a long coffee between 70 and 200 ml (the maximum is perfectly suited for a mug).

The grinder requires no adjustment, you simply pour your coffee beans into the hopper, the Baristina takes care of the rest.

Furthermore, the Philips Baristina offers you the possibility to put ground coffee in the portafilter, an appreciable feature for those who wish to enjoy a decaffeinated coffee occasionally.

This Philips Baristina espresso machine is delivered with a removable drip tray allowing the use of larger cups.

Philips Baristina: easy maintenance

Simplicity of maintenance constitutes another major asset of the Philips Baristina grinder espresso machine.

Its innovative portafilter integrates a mechanism allowing to eject the puck of used coffee with greater ease. You only need to rinse the portafilter under running water. Your pucks can then be composted.

To clean the shower head and remove ground coffee residues, engage the empty portafilter and hold the Intensity Booster button pressed for three seconds. Remember to position a cup under the machine to collect the rinse water.

The Baristina coffee machine does not have a slot for filter cartridge: only occasional descaling is necessary, approximately every 40 litres of coffee. Remember to use a descaler compatible with your coffee machine.
