An elegant and versatile SMEG coffee machine
The SMEG ECF02PBEU Azure Blue replaces the ECF01 model.
SMEG has kept the look vintage 50s so appreciated, while adding some significant improvements over the previous model.
The ECF02 coffee machine offers more features and an improved steam wand.
All ECF02 range espresso machines are now designed in Italy.
This SMEG ECF02PBEU coffee machine is easy to use.
It will allow you to make good coffees with pre-ground coffee, thanks to the pressurized filters or with ESE pods using the dedicated filter provided.
To better appreciate all the aromas of your coffee, we recommend using freshly ground coffee beans. An entry-level coffee grinder will be perfectly suitable for using this SMEG espresso machine with portafilter.
The different functions of the SMEG ECF02PBEU espresso machine
The SMEG ECF02PBEU coffee machine is programmable with four buttons located on top of the machine.
The novelty with the ECF02 range is the ability to access two different modes.
By following the instructions, you can access the basic mode and the secondary mode.
Basic mode (LED lights are white):
- Single espresso
- Double espresso
- Steam (normal intensity)
Secondary mode (LED lights are orange):
- Long single espresso
- Long double espresso
- Steam (more powerful intensity)
You can also adjust the water temperature (low, medium, high), water hardness (soft, medium, hard) and automatic standby (10 mins, 30 mins, 3 hours).
Other features of the SMEG ECF02PBEU espresso machine
The improved design stainless steel steam wand will help you make creamy milk foam for your milk-based drinks.
The steam wand can also dispense hot water for tea or an americano. The water tank has a capacity of 1.1 L.
This coffee machine is equipped with anti-slip feetto ensure optimal stability on your worktop.
The SMEG ECF02PBEU will allow you to prepare coffee in taller cups by removing the tray located under the brew group.
An audible signal will notify you when the water level in the tank is insufficient and when descaling is required.
Accessories and maintenance of the SMEG ECF02PBEU coffee machine
This SMEG espresso machine comes with two pressurized filters for ground coffee as well as a filter compatible with ESE pods.
The portafilter is made of stainless steel, with a diameter of 51 mm.
Other supplied items: ABS dosing spoon with a tamping end, Test strip for measuring water hardness, Cleaning needle for the steam wand.
The filter cartridge is not included.
Don't forget to use a suitable maintenance product for your espresso machine to ensure its durability.

With a most remarkable effect in a kitchen, SMEG has succeeded in transforming its machines into true decorative objects!
I admit to being particularly sensitive to the retro style, which breaks with the rather classic codes of manual espresso machines, but this SMEG also convinced me with its coffee performance.
Furthermore, longevity is enhanced by the compatibility of this filter cartridge , which I strongly recommend you adopt to continue enjoying your coffee.
The result in the cup is very satisfying, with a small personal preference for the two-cup ground coffee, but that's just me. And the steam wand will allow latte macchiato lovers to delight in a creamy milk foam.
Whether it's the aesthetics, the color, the settings or the performance, this SMEG 50's Style ECF02PBEU coffee machine has all the assets to seduce, and above all to make excellent coffees. ;)
