Compact and versatile espresso machine
Heir to the 1950s aesthetic, the Smeg ECF03BLEU immediately captivates with its unique design, blending rounded curves and glossy black finish. Made of cast aluminum, it combines durability and refinement, with stainless steel details for a sophisticated look.
This compact machine sacrifices neither style nor material quality. It perfectly reflects Smeg's visual identity, with an irresistible vintage touch and durable construction.
Its 58 mm stainless steel group, typically found on more premium models, ensures uniform extraction of ground coffee. Thanks to the Thermoblock system, temperature rise is fast and stable, guaranteeing consistent quality cup after cup. The pressure gauge helps you refine your grind or tamping to reach the ideal extraction zone.
Ergonomics have also been carefully considered: intuitive controls, easily accessible steam lever and passive cup warmer complete a coherent set. The standard or pressurized filters provided simplify use for beginners while allowing gradual technical progression.
Retro elegance serving espresso and Cold Brew
The Smeg ECF03 stands out with its clean 4-button interface and an integrated manometer that monitors extraction quality in real time.
The major innovation of this version: the integrated Cold Brew function, allows you to easily make iced coffees (single or double shot) directly from the machine. The machine also offers temperature adjustments (low, optimal, high) as well as volume settings for your espressos.
The steam wand made of stainless steel allows you to prepare cappuccinos or latte macchiatos effortlessly. Additionally, a programmable sleep mode and a descaling alert ensure economical and worry-free daily use.
To get the most out of this machine, it is recommended to use a coffee grinder in order to obtain fresh grounds, suitable for each extraction.
Accessories and Maintenance
Accessories : 2-spout 58 mm stainless steel portafilter, single 1 and 2 cup filters, pressurized 1 and 2 cup filters, a stainless steel tamper and maintenance accessories. To complete your barista equipment, choose the SMEG tamping mat, perfectly suited to your machine.
Maintenance: The Smeg ECF03 is designed to simplify these daily operations: removable water tank and drip tray, accessory storage compartment, easy access to the brew group, integrated descaling alert. Regularly cleaning the steam wand also helps prevent milk residue buildup.
The silicone disc will allow you to perform a backflush (deep cleaning).

The Smeg ECF03 really won us over. Its iconic retro design hides great performance, with a 58 mm group worthy of pro machines for quality extraction, even for beginners.
Its integrated Cold Brew function is a real innovation: you can prepare cold coffee without any accessory or waiting time. The machine is relatively quiet, the steam wand heats up quickly and allows you to froth milk easily.
However, be careful: even at minimum temperature, the coffee remains very hot, so you need to be vigilant. It does not have an integrated grinder, so to fully enjoy its potential, we recommend a suitable burr grinder. But if you already have what you need or if you use pre-ground coffee, it remains an excellent choice.
