Compact and versatile espresso machine
Drawing on the aesthetic codes of the 1950s, the Smeg ECF03PGEU immediately captivates with its singular design, between rounded lines and glossy green lacquer. Made from die-cast aluminium, it combines solidity and finesse, with stainless steel details for a sophisticated look.
This compact machine makes no compromise on aesthetics or material quality. It wonderfully translates Smeg's visual identity, blending vintage charm and durable construction.
Its 58 mm stainless steel group, typically found on more premium models, ensures uniform extraction of ground coffee. The Thermoblock system guarantees rapid and stable temperature rise, for consistent quality from cup to cup. The pressure gauge helps you refine your grind or tamping to reach the ideal extraction zone.
Ergonomics have not been neglected: intuitive controls, well-positioned steam lever and passive cup warmer complete a clever package. The single or pressurised filters provided simplify handling for beginners while offering room for progression.
Retro elegance serving espresso and Cold Brew
The Smeg ECF03 features a clean 4-button interface and an integrated manometer that monitors extraction quality in real time.
The major addition of this version: the integrated Cold Brew function, which allows you to easily prepare cold coffees (single or double dose) directly from the machine. It also offers temperature adjustments (low, optimal, high) and volume for your espressos.
The steam wand made of stainless steel, it allows you to make cappuccinos and latte macchiatos without any difficulty. Added to this are a programmable standby mode and a descaling alert that guarantee economical and peaceful daily use.
To take full advantage of this machine's capabilities, it is recommended to use a coffee grinder in order to have a fresh grind, perfectly adjusted to each type of extraction.
Accessories and maintenance
Accessories : 58 mm double spout stainless steel portafilter, single 1 and 2 cup filters, pressurized 1 and 2 cup filters, stainless steel tamper and maintenance kit. To enhance your barista equipment, choose the SMEG tamping mat, ideal for your machine.
Maintenance: The Smeg ECF03 is designed to simplify these daily operations: removable water tank and drip tray, integrated accessory storage, easy access to the brew group, built-in descaling alert. Regular cleaning of the steam wand also prevents the accumulation of milk residues.
The silicone disc will allow you to perform a backflush (deep cleaning).

However, be careful: even at the minimum temperature, the coffee retains a high temperature, so vigilance is required. Lacking an integrated grinder, it requires a suitable burr grinder to fully exploit its potential. If you already own this equipment or use ground coffee, it remains a remarkable choice.
