The SMEG ECWF02 filter cartridge accompanies your coffee machine on a daily basis. It effectively fights the limescale contained in water, thus preserving the internal components of your appliance. Through its targeted action on mineral deposits, it preventsclogging of the pipes and the heating system, ensuring optimal operation and significantly extending the life of your machine.

How to install the SMEG filter cartridge?

Installing the ECWF02 cartridge is simple and accessible to everyone. Follow these few steps for optimal setup:

• Prepare the cartridge: first unpack it, then immerse it in a container of water or run it under the tap for about 30 seconds. This allows the cartridge to become saturated with water and prevents the formation of air bubbles in the machine's circuits.
• Remove air: position the cartridge horizontally in the water tank to allow the last air bubbles to rise and ensure good water circulation once installed.
• Install the cartridge: insert it into the water reservoir, in the designated location at the bottom, and check that it is securely fixed.
• Run a rinse cycle: to finalize the installation, without coffee in order to properly prime the filter and clean the internal circuits.
