A SMEG retro design for a modern espresso machine.

The SMEG espresso machine EGF03BLEU combines a concentration of technologies with a retro design recognizable, the result of collaboration with the deepdesign® studio of Matteo Bazzicalupo and Raffaella Mangiarotti.

This is a solid coffee machine with a beautiful cast aluminum body and stainless steel finishes.

Its integrated grinder features stainless steel conical burrs, ensuring uniform grinding that preserves the full aroma of the coffee.

The dual Thermoblock heating system (one dedicated to the coffee circuit and the other to the steam circuit), ensures fast heating time and instant steam generation.

Equipped with a 58 mm diameter portafilter and a steam wand, both in stainless steel, you can extract an excellent espresso and prepare milk-based drinks like a true barista.

Furthermore, the pressure gauge on the front allows you to monitor your extraction pressure.

The SMEG EGF03BLEU espresso machine comes with various accessories and offers several settings to progress in the world of espresso.

Use and settings of the SMEG EGF03BLEU espresso machine

The SMEG EGF03BLEU is supplied with pressurized filters (allowing you to extract good coffee even with imperfect grinding) and single-wall filters (to learn how to make an espresso properly by experimenting with different degrees of grinding, coffee dose and pressure).

This manual espresso machine gives you the possibility to personalize your drinks according to your preferences.

- You can directly choose between two pre-set grinding options to prepare a single or double espresso.

- The grind fineness adjustment is simple, by turning the hopper to reach the desired notch: from 0 (superfine) to 15 (medium grind).

- The hopper offers a capacity of 250 g of coffee beans. It detaches easily to facilitate maintenance.

- In the settings, you have the possibility to choose your pre-infusion ideal among 4 options (short, standard, long, progressive pre-infusion) and adjust 4 temperature levels.

The stainless steel steam wand has a rubberized protection to prevent burns.

To produce steam and froth your milk, two settings are available to you: 2 steam intensity levels, adapted according to the desired milk recipe.

Access to hot water is also possible via the steam wand.

The water reservoir of the SMEG EGF03BLEU coffee machine displays a nice capacity of 2.4 L.

After 10 minutes without use, the machine automatically switches to energy-saving mode. This standby delay is customizable.

Visual indicators will alert you to the different needs of the machine (low water level, descaling needed, etc.)

The SMEG EGF03BLEU integrates a passive stainless steel cup warmer as well as a small hidden drawer located behind the drip tray, ideal for storing your accessories.

The filter cartridge is not included. To purify your water, remember to acquire this SMEG cartridge.

The silicone disc allows you to perform a backflush (deep cleaning).

SMEG recommends using cleaning tablets dedicated to domestic coffee machines, as well as a specific descaler for the descaling operation.
