The SMEG EGF03RDEU combines advanced technologies and retro design characteristic, the result of collaboration with the deepdesign® studio of Matteo Bazzicalupo and Raffaella Mangiarotti.

This is a solid coffee machine, featuring a beautiful die-cast aluminum body and stainless steel finishes.

The integrated grinder features stainless steel conical burrs, ensuring uniform grinding that preserves the full integrity of the coffee aromas.

The dual Thermoblock system (one for the coffee circuit, the other for the steam circuit) ensures fast heat-up time and instant steam availability.

Thanks to the 58 mm diameter portafilter and steam wand, both in stainless steel, you can extract an excellent espresso and make milk-based drinks like a true barista.

Furthermore, the front pressure gauge allows you to monitor extraction pressure in real time.

The SMEG EGF03RDEU offers various accessories and several settings to progress in the world of espresso.

Use and settings of the SMEG EGF03CREU espresso machine

The SMEG EGF03RDEU comes with pressurized filters (allowing you to get good coffee even if the grind is not ideal) and single-wall filters (to learn how to prepare an authentic espresso by experimenting with grind degrees, dose, and pressure).

This manual espresso machine gives you the freedom to customize your drinks according to your preferences.

- You can directly select two preset grinding options to prepare a single or double espresso.

- The grind fineness adjustment is easily done by turning the hopper to the desired notch: from 0 (superfine) to 15 (medium grind).

- The hopper can hold up to 250 g of coffee beans. It detaches easily for simplified maintenance.

- In the settings, you can select your pre-infusion preferred with 4 different profiles (short, standard, long, progressive pre-infusion) and choose 4 temperature levels.

The stainless steel steam wand has a rubber protection to avoid burns.

To dispense steam and make milk foam, you have the choice between 2 steam intensity levels, depending on the milk-based drink you want to make.

You can also get hot water using the steam wand.

The SMEG EGF03 coffee machine reservoir is generous, with a capacity for 2.4 L of water.

After 10 minutes of inactivity, the machine switches to energy-saving mode. The standby time can be modified.

Different visual alarms will alert you if needed (water shortage, descaling, etc.)

The red SMEG EGF03 is equipped with a passive stainless steel cup warmer and a small hidden drawer behind the drip tray, to store your accessories.

Accessories and maintenance.

The SMEG EGF03RDEU espresso machine is delivered with numerous accessories : a two-spout stainless steel portafilter, a pressurized single cup filter, a pressurized two cup filter, a single cup non-pressurized filter, a two cup non-pressurized filter, a 58 mm stainless steel tamper, a cleaning brush, a silicone disc for group maintenance, a stainless steel milk pitcher.

The filter cartridge is not included. To filter your water, you will need to get this SMEG cartridge.

The silicone disc will allow you to do a backflush (deep cleaning).

SMEG recommends using cleaning tablets for domestic coffee machines, intended for this purpose, and a specialized descaler for descaling.
