Terra Etica invites you to savour its ground coffee from organic farming, made from 100 % arabica. The beans used to create this ground coffee come from the Buyengero terroir located in Burundi, a country in East Africa. It is the UMCO W'IKAWA cooperative, established at over 1500 m altitude, that produces this fair trade coffee in a constant effort to combat soil erosion.

This Terra Etica ground coffee is extracted by filter method and is best consumed ideally at mealtime, in the afternoon. It can also be enjoyed as part of your meal.

You will appreciate a silky coffee on the palate and a liveliness oriented towards acidity. This is partly explained by the presence of notes of stewed red fruits, spices and cocoa. Intense aromas are also revealed during tasting.

Ingredients and recipe available on the brand's website

Recipe:

1) To prepare the pastry cream : bring the milk to the boil with the vanilla and ground coffee. Leave to infuse for 5 minutes

2) In another saucepan : mix the egg yolks with the sugar, the flour, then the previously infused milk. Bring everything to the boil while stirring and then set aside in a container in the fridge.

3) For the dough : mix the butter, sugar, flour, baking powder. Then add the eggs and rum. Knead for 5 minutes.

4) In a suitable mould: spread a first layer of dough bringing it up the sides. Pour the coffee cream over the dough and cover again with dough.

5) Leave to rest for one hour in the fridge before placing in the oven at 160°C for 30 minutes.
