Patented S2C (Spike to Cut) Burrs
Timemore developed a new burr design dedicated to the Chestnut X.
burrs conical stainless steel (type SUS 440) of
42 mm with the patented
S2C (Spike to Cut) design. These unique burrs cut coffee beans into large particles before grinding them completely. According to Timemore, these burrs also ensure that the silver skin of coffee beans does not end up in the grind, which
reduces bitterness and provides better clarity in the cup.
These durable burrs allow you to grind your coffee without excessive effort, faster and above all, to obtain a
uniform grind.
A dual adjustment system: 120 positions in total
With the Chestnut X, Timemore offers a second patented innovation with its second adjustment system for optimal precision.
The
grind adjustment is done by clicks, with a steel dial located under the grinder.
The main dial offers a choice of
23 macro-adjustments.
The innovation lies in the
micro-adjustments possible with the additional small dial: 5 settings possible between each macro click,
that is 120 clicks in total for ultra-precise grind adjustment !

A robust and well-designed grinder
The Timemore Chestnut X has retained the characteristics that earned the G1 model the prestigious Reddot Design Award 2017: the grinder body is made from a single piece of
solid aluminum. It has a round shape inside, but a square shape outside for better grip.
The
foldable handle proves very practical for saving space, at home or when traveling. The system is solid, the handling is very pleasant.
A
2-ball bearing system fixes the central axis to ensure burr stability and grind consistency.
Filling the grinder is done from the top, by removing the handle. The maximum capacity for coffee beans is 30 gr.

The
grind container is entirely aluminum like the grinder body. It screws onto the base of the grinder body and locks in place with a click for
added security.
The lid located on the upper part of the grinder as well as the crank handle knob are also made of
aluminium.
The crank handle, ball bearing system and central axis are made of
stainless steel.
Regarding aesthetics, the exterior of the grinder features the brand logo in
copper, accompanied by the "Chestnut X" engraving.
The Timemore Chestnut X grinder is presented in an elegant box including
its dedicated case to facilitate daily transport as well as a small cleaning brush.
Maintenance recommendation : Clean exclusively using a small brush, absolutely avoid water.
