1336 is the number of days that thestandoff between the employees of the Fralib factory and the Anglo-Dutch multinational Unilever, the world's leading producer of ice cream and tea. Just a few kilometers from Marseille, employees fought to keep their jobs and save their Gémenos factory, which was slated for closure. After making their voices heard all summer long, then the next, and the next again, and after 1336 days of exemplary mobilization, the former Fralib employees finally prevailed by taking over the factory as SCOP TI (Société Coopérative Ouvrière Provençale de Thés et d'Infusions) and launching the 1336 tea and infusion brand.
