A green yerba mate from a wild harvest in Parana, Brazil

Green yerba mate still exists in its natural state in certain regions of the state of Parana, in southern Brazil. It grows spontaneously sheltered by the forest and is only harvested every 2 years by local farmers. This gives it a higher concentration of phytonutrients than cultivated yerba mate.

It is produced by one of the associations harvesting wild yerba mate on their lands, bringing together about sixty families. This way of life is defended by families who fight for the conservation of the local ecosystem.

Ingredients : Ilex paraguiensis*, wild yerba mate leaves, stabilized by steam, then dried, cut and stored until maturation. *Product from organic farming and fair trade.

Instructions for use:

• Fill the gourd 2/3 with Yerba Mate,
• Pack the yerba mate on the side of the gourd,
• Pour a little cold water, then let absorb 2 to 3 min,
• Insert the bombilla. then pour hot water at about 80°C
• Let infuse 2 to 5 min
