The Chaï Impérial from Palais des Thés is a subtly flavored black tea with a blend of spices (ginger, green cardamom, pink peppercorns, cinnamon, cloves, and orange peel) that evoke escapism. This black tea can be enjoyed in the Western style (infusion with water) as well as in the Indian style (infusion with milk). Packaging: box of 20 muslin tea bags.
Main characteristics of the tea:
PREMIERE LIGNEThis black tea, inspired by Indian tradition, brings together a bouquet of spices: green cardamom, pink peppercorns, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and orange peel.
On the nose, this black tea reveals its power supported by spices that are slightly piquant. The cinnamon, ginger, and green cardamom stand out clearly in the aroma.
This Chaï Impérial tea can be savored in two ways:
- in the Indian style, the tea is infused in milk. Thus, the cloves and pink peppercorns take the lead in the attack before being softened by the cinnamon, which gives a beautiful length on the palate.
- in the Western style ( (infusion with water), the ginger and cinnamon dominate the other spices before giving way to the pink peppercorns blended with cinnamon to envelop the palate in the aftertaste.
This black tea from Palais des Thés is also suitable for making savory dishes or pastries.

Palais des Thés is a tea house founded in 1986 by François-Xavier Delmas. This pioneer is driven by the ambition to discover teas in their terroirs of origin, in direct relationship with producers.
He presents himself as a "tea seeker". From his expeditions he brings back his expertise; and from his love of tea will emerge numerous creations including the thé du Hammam developed in 1998 which remains today a signature of Palais des Thés. Other essentials are now offered, ready to transport you into the authentic universe of this tea house.
